Verizon 5G Launch

At the beginning of Verizon's 5G social campaign, I served as a motion designer on the social and digital team. My role centered on crafting animated treatments that elevated typography and enhanced the visual impact of text combined with background videos and photography in social content.

The task was to transform Verizon's documentary-style commercials into content that's more engaging and shareable for social media. Our design team focused on typography, diverging from the typical shapes and colorful splashes prevalent online. This approach infused a creative edge into the visuals while maintaining the brand's serious messaging. Ultimately, we crafted compelling social content that resonates with audiences while preserving Verizon's identity.

During the 5G campaign in late 2018, our creative team faced the challenge of navigating a rapidly evolving landscape. With 5G technology still unfamiliar to us, we often found ourselves engaging in discovery calls and working tirelessly to adapt our strategies. The shifting metrics within Verizon's telecommunications infrastructure required a meticulous approach to ensure consistency and accuracy in our messaging. As we created content in response to these discoveries, it was crucial to define and clarify the information we presented, ensuring that each post conveyed the right data effectively.
